Brush Ins with Whaea Gina
- When brushing our teeth we sing the happy birthday song for the top teeth and hari huritau for the bottom teeth.
- We talked about which drinks are the best to have, fizzy for special occasions. Water is the best.
- Foods we should eat lots of - yoghurt, fruit, vegies, meat, nuts, milk, cheese
- The dental caravan is super cool, with a cool dental chair.
Kia ora room 8. Thats a good idea to sing a song while cleaning your teeth, so you know that you've brushed them long enough (even though it would be tricky singing with a tooth brush in your mouth). Most of your class would have lost some of their baby teeth and have adult teeth growing through, as you know you will have these teeth for your whole life so make sure you look after them. Did you know what is in dairy foods (milk, cheese, yoghurt) that makes your teeth and bones strong? Did you learn about flossing your teeth and why its good to do?
